Quran 13:28

Surah Ar-Ra'd, Verse 28

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ

Word by word

ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna Those who ءَامَنُوا۟ āmanū believed وَتَطْمَئِنُّ wataṭma-innu and find satisfaction قُلُوبُهُم qulūbuhum their hearts بِذِكْرِ bidhik'ri in the remembrance ٱللَّهِ ۗ l-lahi (of) Allah أَلَا alā No doubt بِذِكْرِ bidhik'ri in the remembrance ٱللَّهِ l-lahi (of) Allah تَطْمَئِنُّ taṭma-innu find satisfaction ٱلْقُلُوبُ l-qulūbu the hearts

Transliteration

Allatheena amanoo watatma-innuquloobuhum bithikri Allahi ala bithikriAllahi tatma-innu alquloob

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

"Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

الذين آمنوا وتطمئن قلوبهم بذكر الله ) أي : تطيب وتركن إلى جانب الله ، وتسكن عند ذكره ، وترضى به مولى ونصيرا; ولهذا قال : ( ألا بذكر الله تطمئن القلوب ) أي : هو حقيق بذلك .
