Quran 17:99
Surah Al-Israa, Verse 99

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَهُمْ أَجَلًا لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهِ فَأَبَى ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِلَّا كُفُورًا

Transliteration
Awa lam yaraw anna Allaha allatheekhalaqa assamawati wal-ardaqadirun AAala an yakhluqa mithlahum wajaAAala lahumajalan la rayba feehi faaba aththalimoonailla kufoora
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Have they not seen that Allah Who created the heavens and the earth is Able to create the like of them, and hath appointed for them an end whereof there is no doubt? But the wrong-doers refuse aught save disbelief.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
See they not that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, has power to create the like of them (anew)? Only He has decreed a term appointed, of which there is no doubt. But the unjust refuse (to receive it) except with ingratitude.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
وقال هاهنا : ( أولم يروا أن الله الذي خلق السموات والأرض قادر على أن يخلق مثلهم ) أي يوم القيامة يعيد أبدانهم وينشئهم نشأة أخرى ، ويعيدهم كما بدأهم .
وقوله : ( وجعل لهم أجلا لا ريب فيه ) أي : جعل لإعادتهم وإقامتهم من قبورهم أجلا مضروبا ومدة مقدرة لا بد من انقضائها ، كما قال تعالى : ( وما نؤخره إلا لأجل معدود ) [ هود : 104 ] .
وقوله : ( فأبى الظالمون ) أي : بعد قيام الحجة عليهم ) إلا كفورا ) إلا تماديا في باطلهم وضلالهم .
