Quran 2:12
Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 12

أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْسِدُونَ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ
Word by word
أَلَآ alā Beware إِنَّهُمْ innahum indeed they هُمُ humu themselves ٱلْمُفْسِدُونَ l-muf'sidūna (are) the ones who spread corruption وَلَـٰكِن walākin [and] but لَّا lā not يَشْعُرُونَ yashʿurūna they realize (it)
Transliteration
Ala innahum humu almufsidoona walakinla yashAAuroon
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Are not they indeed the mischief-makers? But they perceive not.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
يقول الله : ( ألا إنهم هم المفسدون ولكن لا يشعرون ) يقول : ألا إن هذا الذي يعتمدونه ويزعمون أنه إصلاح هو عين الفساد ، ولكن من جهلهم لا يشعرون بكونه فسادا .
