Surah Al-Anbiyaa, Verse 67

أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Word by word
أُفٍّۢ uffin Uff لَّكُمْ lakum to you وَلِمَا walimā and to what تَعْبُدُونَ taʿbudūna you worship مِن min besides دُونِ dūni besides ٱللَّهِ ۖ l-lahi Allah أَفَلَا afalā Then will not تَعْقِلُونَ taʿqilūna you use reason
Transliteration
Offin lakum walima taAAbudoona mindooni Allahi afala taAAqiloon

Fie on you and all that ye worship instead of Allah! Have ye then no sense?

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
( أف لكم ولما تعبدون من دون الله أفلا تعقلون ) أي : أفلا تتدبرون ما أنتم فيه من الضلال والكفر الغليظ ، الذي لا يروج إلا على جاهل ظالم فاجر؟ فأقام عليهم الحجة ، وألزمهم بها; ولهذا قال تعالى : ( وتلك حجتنا آتيناها إبراهيم على قومه ) الآية [ الأنعام : 83 ] .
