Quran 25:69
Surah Al-Furqaan, Verse 69

يُضَٰعَفْ لَهُ ٱلْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا
Word by word
يُضَـٰعَفْ yuḍāʿaf Will be doubled لَهُ lahu for him ٱلْعَذَابُ l-ʿadhābu the punishment يَوْمَ yawma (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ l-qiyāmati (of) Resurrection وَيَخْلُدْ wayakhlud and he will abide forever فِيهِۦ fīhi therein مُهَانًا muhānan humiliated
Transliteration
YudaAAaf lahu alAAathabu yawmaalqiyamati wayakhlud feehi muhana
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever;
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
(But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,-
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
( يضاعف له العذاب يوم القيامة ) أي : يكرر عليه ويغلظ ، ( ويخلد فيه مهانا ) أي : حقيرا ذليلا .
