Quran 3:9

Surah Aal-i-Imraan, Verse 9

رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ ٱلنَّاسِ لِيَوْمٍ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ

Word by word

رَبَّنَآ rabbanā Our Lord إِنَّكَ innaka Indeed, You جَامِعُ jāmiʿu will gather ٱلنَّاسِ l-nāsi [the] mankind لِيَوْمٍۢ liyawmin on a Day لَّا lā (there is) no رَيْبَ rayba doubt فِيهِ ۚ fīhi in it إِنَّ inna Indeed ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah لَا lā (does) not يُخْلِفُ yukh'lifu break ٱلْمِيعَادَ l-mīʿāda the Promise

Transliteration

Rabbana innaka jamiAAu annasiliyawmin la rayba feehi inna Allaha layukhlifu almeeAAad

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Our Lord! Lo! it is Thou Who gatherest mankind together to a Day of which there is no doubt. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

"Our Lord! Thou art He that will gather mankind Together against a day about which there is no doubt; for Allah never fails in His promise."

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

وقوله : ( ربنا إنك جامع الناس ليوم لا ريب فيه إن الله لا يخلف الميعاد ) أي : يقولون في دعائهم : إنك - يا ربنا - ستجمع بين خلقك يوم معادهم ، وتفصل بينهم وتحكم فيهم فيما اختلفوا فيه ، وتجزي كلا بعمله ، وما كان عليه في الدنيا من خير وشر .
