Quran 30:50

Surah Ar-Room, Verse 50

فَٱنظُرْ إِلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِ رَحْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Word by word

فَٱنظُرْ fa-unẓur So look إِلَىٰٓ ilā at ءَاثَـٰرِ āthāri (the) effects رَحْمَتِ raḥmati (of the) Mercy ٱللَّهِ l-lahi (of) Allah كَيْفَ kayfa how يُحْىِ yuḥ'yī He gives life ٱلْأَرْضَ l-arḍa (to) the earth بَعْدَ baʿda after مَوْتِهَآ ۚ mawtihā its death إِنَّ inna Indeed ذَٰلِكَ dhālika that لَمُحْىِ lamuḥ'yī surely He (will) give life ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ۖ l-mawtā (to) the dead وَهُوَ wahuwa And He عَلَىٰ ʿalā (is) on كُلِّ kulli every شَىْءٍۢ shayin thing قَدِيرٌۭ qadīrun All-Powerful

Transliteration

Fanthur ila atharirahmati Allahi kayfa yuhyee al-ardabaAAda mawtiha inna thalika lamuhyee almawtawahuwa AAala kulli shay-in qadeer

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Look, therefore, at the prints of Allah's mercy (in creation): how He quickeneth the earth after her death. Lo! He verily is the Quickener of the Dead, and He is Able to do all things.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

Then contemplate (O man!) the memorials of Allah's Mercy!- how He gives life to the earth after its death: verily the same will give life to the men who are dead: for He has power over all things.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

( فانظر إلى آثار رحمة الله ) يعني المطر ( كيف يحيي الأرض بعد موتها ) .

ثم نبه بذلك على إحياء الأجساد بعد موتها وتفرقها وتمزقها ، فقال : ( إن ذلك لمحيي الموتى ) أي : إن الذي فعل ذلك لقادر على إحياء الأموات ، ( إنه على كل شيء قدير ) .
