Quran 38:29

Surah Saad, Verse 29

كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَٰرَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ

Word by word

كِتَـٰبٌ kitābun (This is) a Book أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ anzalnāhu We have revealed it إِلَيْكَ ilayka to you مُبَـٰرَكٌۭ mubārakun blessed لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓا۟ liyaddabbarū that they may ponder ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ āyātihi (over) its Verses وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ waliyatadhakkara and may be reminded أُو۟لُوا۟ ulū those of understanding ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ l-albābi those of understanding

Transliteration

Kitabun anzalnahu ilayka mubarakunliyaddabbaroo ayatihi waliyatathakkara olooal-albab

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

(This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

(Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

قال : ( كتاب أنزلناه إليك مبارك ليدبروا آياته وليتذكر أولو الألباب ) أي : ذوو العقول وهي الألباب ، جمع لب ، وهو العقل .

قال الحسن البصري : والله ما تدبره بحفظ حروفه وإضاعة حدوده ، حتى إن أحدهم ليقول : قرأت القرآن [ كله ] ما يرى له القرآن في خلق ولا عمل . رواه ابن أبي حاتم .
