Quran 40:73

Surah Al-Ghaafir, Verse 73

ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ

Word by word

ثُمَّ thumma Then قِيلَ qīla it will be said لَهُمْ lahum to them أَيْنَ ayna Where مَا mā (is) that which كُنتُمْ kuntum you used to تُشْرِكُونَ tush'rikūna associate

Transliteration

Thumma qeela lahum ayna ma kuntumtushrikoon

Translations

Then it is said unto them: Where are (all) that ye used to make partners (in the Sovereignty)

Then shall it be said to them: "Where are the (deities) to which ye gave part-worship-

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

قوله تعالى "ثم قيل لهم أينما كنتم تشركون من دون الله" أي قيل لهم أين الأصنام التي كنتم تعبدونها من دون الله هل ينصرونكم اليوم.
