Surah Al-Hujuraat, Verse 8

فَضْلًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَنِعْمَةً وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
Word by word
فَضْلًۭا faḍlan A Bounty مِّنَ mina from Allah ٱللَّهِ l-lahi from Allah وَنِعْمَةًۭ ۚ waniʿ'matan and favor وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu And Allah عَلِيمٌ ʿalīmun (is) All-Knower حَكِيمٌۭ ḥakīmun All-Wise
Transliteration
Fadlan mina Allahi waniAAmatanwallahu AAaleemun hakeem
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
(It is) a bounty and a grace from Allah; and Allah is Knower, Wise.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
A Grace and Favour from Allah; and Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
ثم قال : ( فضلا من الله ونعمة ) أي : هذا العطاء الذي منحكموه هو فضل منه عليكم ونعمة من لدنه ، ( والله عليم حكيم ) أي : عليم بمن يستحق الهداية ممن يستحق الغواية ، حكيم في أقواله وأفعاله ، وشرعه وقدره .
