Quran 10:109

Surah Yunus, Verse 109

وَٱتَّبِعْ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَٱصْبِرْ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ ٱللَّهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ

Word by word

وَٱتَّبِعْ wa-ittabiʿ And follow مَا mā what يُوحَىٰٓ yūḥā is revealed إِلَيْكَ ilayka to you وَٱصْبِرْ wa-iṣ'bir and be patient حَتَّىٰ ḥattā until يَحْكُمَ yaḥkuma Allah gives judgment ٱللَّهُ ۚ l-lahu Allah gives judgment وَهُوَ wahuwa And He خَيْرُ khayru (is) the Best ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ l-ḥākimīna (of) the Judges

Transliteration

WattabiAA ma yoohailayka wasbir hatta yahkumaAllahu wahuwa khayru alhakimeen

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

And (O Muhammad) follow that which is inspired in thee, and forbear until Allah give judgment. And He is the Best of Judges.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

Follow thou the inspiration sent unto thee, and be patient and constant, till Allah do decide: for He is the best to decide.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

وقوله : ( واتبع ما يوحى إليك واصبر ) أي : تمسك بما أنزل الله عليك وأوحاه واصبر على مخالفة من خالفك من الناس ، ( حتى يحكم الله ) أي : يفتح بينك وبينهم ، ( وهو خير الحاكمين ) أي : خير الفاتحين بعدله وحكمته .
