هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

هُوَ huwa He يُحْىِۦ yuḥ'yī gives life وَيُمِيتُ wayumītu and causes death وَإِلَيْهِ wa-ilayhi and to Him تُرْجَعُونَ tur'jaʿūna you will be returned

Huwa yuhyee wayumeetu wa-ilayhiturjaAAoon

He quickeneth and giveth death, and unto Him ye will be returned.

It is He Who giveth life and who taketh it, and to Him shall ye all be brought back.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
وأنه يحيي ويميت وإليه مرجعهم; وأنه القادر على ذلك العليم بما تفرق من الأجسام وتمزق في سائر أقطار الأرض والبحار والقفار.
