Quran 11:14

Surah Hud, Verse 14

فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ بِعِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَن لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

Word by word

فَإِلَّمْ fa-illam Then if not يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ yastajībū they respond لَكُمْ lakum to you فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ fa-iʿ'lamū then know أَنَّمَآ annamā that أُنزِلَ unzila it was sent down بِعِلْمِ biʿil'mi with the knowledge of Allah ٱللَّهِ l-lahi with the knowledge of Allah وَأَن wa-an and that لَّآ lā (there is) no إِلَـٰهَ ilāha god إِلَّا illā except هُوَ ۖ huwa Him فَهَلْ fahal Then, would أَنتُم antum you مُّسْلِمُونَ mus'limūna (be) Muslims

Transliteration

Fa-illam yastajeeboo lakum faAAlamooannama onzila biAAilmi Allahi waan la ilahailla huwa fahal antum muslimoon

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

And if they answer not your prayer, then know that it is revealed only in the knowledge of Allah; and that there is no Allah save Him. Will ye then be (of) those who surrender?

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

"If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but He! will ye even then submit (to Islam)?"

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ثم قال تعالى : ( فإن لم يستجيبوا لكم ) أي : فإن لم يأتوا بمعارضة ما دعوتموهم إليه ، فاعلموا أنهم عاجزون عن ذلك ، وأن هذا الكلام منزل من عند الله ، متضمن علمه وأمره ونهيه ، ( وأن لا إله إلا هو فهل أنتم مسلمون ) .
