Quran 13:21

Surah Ar-Ra'd, Verse 21

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ وَيَخَافُونَ سُوٓءَ ٱلْحِسَابِ

Word by word

وَٱلَّذِينَ wa-alladhīna And those who يَصِلُونَ yaṣilūna join مَآ mā what أَمَرَ amara (has been) commanded ٱللَّهُ l-lahu (by) Allah بِهِۦٓ bihi [for it] أَن an to يُوصَلَ yūṣala be joined وَيَخْشَوْنَ wayakhshawna and fear رَبَّهُمْ rabbahum their Lord وَيَخَافُونَ wayakhāfūna and are afraid سُوٓءَ sūa (of) the evil ٱلْحِسَابِ l-ḥisābi the account

Transliteration

Wallatheena yasiloonama amara Allahu bihi an yoosala wayakhshawnarabbahum wayakhafoona soo-a alhisab

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Such as unite that which Allah hath commandeth should be joined, and fear their Lord, and dread a woeful reckoning;

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

Those who join together those things which Allah hath commanded to be joined, hold their Lord in awe, and fear the terrible reckoning;

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

( والذين يصلون ما أمر الله به أن يوصل ) من صلة الأرحام ، والإحسان إليهم وإلى الفقراء والمحاويج ، وبذل المعروف ، ( ويخشون ربهم ) أي : فيما يأتون وما يذرون من الأعمال ، يراقبون الله في ذلك ، ويخافون سوء الحساب في الدار الآخرة . فلهذا أمرهم على السداد والاستقامة في جميع حركاتهم وسكناتهم وجميع أحوالهم القاصرة والمتعدية .
