Quran 15:19

Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 19

وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ مَّوْزُونٍ

Word by word

وَٱلْأَرْضَ wal-arḍa And the earth مَدَدْنَـٰهَا madadnāhā We have spread it وَأَلْقَيْنَا wa-alqaynā and [We] cast فِيهَا fīhā therein رَوَٰسِىَ rawāsiya firm mountains وَأَنۢبَتْنَا wa-anbatnā and [We] caused to grow فِيهَا fīhā therein مِن min of كُلِّ kulli every شَىْءٍۢ shayin thing مَّوْزُونٍۢ mawzūnin well-balanced

Transliteration

Wal-arda madadnahawaalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatnafeeha min kulli shay-in mawzoon

Translations

And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein.

And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ثم ذكر تعالى خلقه الأرض ومده إياها وتوسيعها وبسطها وما جعل فيها من الجبال الرواسي والأودية والأراضي والرمال وما أنبت فيها من الزروع والثمار المتناسبة وقال ابن عباس " من كل شيء موزون " أي معلوم وكذا قال سعيد بن جبير وعكرمة وأبو مالك ومجاهد والحكم بن عيينة والحسن بن محمد وأبو صالح وقتادة ومنهم من قول مقدر بقدر وقال ابن زيد من كل شيء يوزن ويقدر بقدر وقال ابن زيد ما يزنه أهل الأسواق.
