Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 50

وَأَنَّ عَذَابِى هُوَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ٱلْأَلِيمُ
Word by word
وَأَنَّ wa-anna And that عَذَابِى ʿadhābī My punishment هُوَ huwa it ٱلْعَذَابُ l-ʿadhābu (is) the punishment ٱلْأَلِيمُ l-alīmu the most painful
Transliteration
Waanna AAathabee huwa alAAathabual-aleem
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
And that My doom is the dolorous doom.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
أي أخبر يا محمد عبادي أنى ذو رحمة وذو عذاب أليم وقد تقدم ذكر نظير هذه الآية الكريمة وهي دالة على مقامي الرجاء والخوف.
