Surah An-Nahl, Verse 42

ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
Word by word
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna Those who صَبَرُوا۟ ṣabarū (are) patient وَعَلَىٰ waʿalā and on رَبِّهِمْ rabbihim their Lord يَتَوَكَّلُونَ yatawakkalūna they put their trust
Transliteration
Allatheena sabaroo waAAalarabbihim yatawakkaloon
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Such as are steadfast and put their trust in Allah.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
(They are) those who persevere in patience, and put their trust on their Lord.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
ثم وصفهم تعالى فقال : ( الذين صبروا وعلى ربهم يتوكلون ) أي : صبروا على أقل من آذاهم من قومهم ، متوكلين على الله الذي أحسن لهم العاقبة في الدنيا والآخرة .
