Surah Taa-Haa, Verse 105

وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنسِفُهَا رَبِّى نَسْفًا
Word by word
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ wayasalūnaka And they ask you عَنِ ʿani about ٱلْجِبَالِ l-jibāli the mountains فَقُلْ faqul so say يَنسِفُهَا yansifuhā Will blast them رَبِّى rabbī my Lord نَسْفًۭا nasfan (into) particles
Transliteration
Wayas-aloonaka AAani aljibali faqulyansifuha rabbee nasfa
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
They will ask thee of the mountains (on that day). Say: My Lord will break them into scattered dust.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
They ask thee concerning the Mountains: say, "My Lord will uproot them and scatter them as dust;
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
يقول تعالى : ( ويسألونك عن الجبال ) أي : هل تبقى يوم القيامة أو تزول؟ ( فقل ينسفها ربي نسفا ) أي : يذهبها عن أماكنها ويمحقها ويسيرها تسييرا .
