Surah Al-Anbiyaa, Verse 10

لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَٰبًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Word by word
لَقَدْ laqad Indeed أَنزَلْنَآ anzalnā We (have) sent down إِلَيْكُمْ ilaykum to you كِتَـٰبًۭا kitāban a Book فِيهِ fīhi in it ذِكْرُكُمْ ۖ dhik'rukum (is) your mention أَفَلَا afalā Then will not تَعْقِلُونَ taʿqilūna you use reason
Transliteration
Laqad anzalna ilaykum kitabanfeehi thikrukum afala taAAqiloon

Now We have revealed unto you a Scripture wherein is your Reminder. Have ye then no sense?
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
We have revealed for you (O men!) a book in which is a Message for you: will ye not then understand?
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
يقول تعالى منبها على شرف القرآن ، ومحرضا لهم على معرفة قدره : ( لقد أنزلنا إليكم كتابا فيه ذكركم ) قال ابن عباس : شرفكم .
وقال مجاهد : حديثكم . وقال الحسن : دينكم .
( وإنه لذكر لك ولقومك وسوف تسألون ) [ الزخرف : 44 ] .
