Quran 21:19

Surah Al-Anbiyaa, Verse 19

وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ

Word by word

وَلَهُۥ walahu And to Him (belongs) مَن man whoever فِى fī (is) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ l-samāwāti the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ wal-arḍi and the earth وَمَنْ waman And (those) who عِندَهُۥ ʿindahu (are) near Him لَا lā not يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ yastakbirūna they are arrogant عَنْ ʿan to عِبَادَتِهِۦ ʿibādatihi worship Him وَلَا walā and not يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ yastaḥsirūna they tire

Transliteration

Walahu man fee assamawatiwal-ardi waman AAindahu la yastakbiroonaAAan AAibadatihi wala yastahsiroon

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Unto Him belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who dwell in His presence are not too proud to worship Him, nor do they weary;

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

To Him belong all (creatures) in the heavens and on earth: Even those who are in His (very) Presence are not too proud to serve Him, nor are they (ever) weary (of His service):

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

فقال : ( وله من في السماوات والأرض ومن عنده ) يعني : الملائكة ، ( لا يستكبرون عن عبادته ) أي : لا يستنكفون عنها ، كما قال : ( لن يستنكف المسيح أن يكون عبدا لله ولا الملائكة المقربون ومن يستنكف عن عبادته ويستكبر فسيحشرهم إليه جميعا ) [ النساء : 172 ] .

وقوله : ( ولا يستحسرون ) أي : لا يتعبون ولا يملون .
