Quran 26:103
Surah Ash-Shu'araa, Verse 103

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Word by word
إِنَّ inna Indeed فِى fī in ذَٰلِكَ dhālika that لَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖ laāyatan surely is a Sign وَمَا wamā but not كَانَ kāna are أَكْثَرُهُم aktharuhum most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ mu'minīna believers
Transliteration
Inna fee thalika laayatan wamakana aktharuhum mu/mineen
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers!
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
Verily in this is a Sign but most of them do not believe.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
ثم قال تعالى : ( إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين ) أي : إن في محاجة إبراهيم لقومه وإقامته الحجج عليهم في التوحيد لآية ودلالة واضحة جلية على أنه لا إله إلا الله ( وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين . وإن ربك لهو العزيز الرحيم ) .
