Quran 26:67
Surah Ash-Shu'araa, Verse 67

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Word by word
إِنَّ inna Indeed فِى fī in ذَٰلِكَ dhālika that لَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖ laāyatan surely (is) a Sign وَمَا wamā but not كَانَ kāna are أَكْثَرُهُم aktharuhum most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ mu'minīna believers
Transliteration
Inna fee thalika laayatan wamakana aktharuhum mu/mineen
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
ثم قال تعالى : ( إن في ذلك لآية ) أي : في هذه القصة وما فيها من العجائب والنصر والتأييد لعباد الله المؤمنين; لدلالة وحجة قاطعة وحكمة بالغة ، ( وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين وإن ربك لهو العزيز الرحيم ) تقدم تفسيره .
