قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًا لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
Word by word
قَالَ qāla He said رَبِّ rabbi My Lord بِمَآ bimā Because أَنْعَمْتَ anʿamta You have favored عَلَىَّ ʿalayya [on] me فَلَنْ falan so not أَكُونَ akūna I will be ظَهِيرًۭا ẓahīran a supporter لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ lil'muj'rimīna (of) the criminals
Transliteration
Qala rabbi bima anAAamtaAAalayya falan akoona thaheeran lilmujrimeen

He said: My Lord! Forasmuch as Thou hast favoured me, I will nevermore be a supporter of the guilty.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
He said: "O my Lord! For that Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace on me, never shall I be a help to those who sin!"
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
أي : بما جعلت لي من الجاه والعزة والمنعة ( فلن أكون ظهيرا ) أي : معينا ( للمجرمين ) أي : الكافرين بك ، المخالفين لأمرك .
