Surah Aal-i-Imraan, Verse 138

هَٰذَا بَيَانٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
Word by word
هَـٰذَا hādhā This بَيَانٌۭ bayānun (is) a declaration لِّلنَّاسِ lilnnāsi for the people وَهُدًۭى wahudan and guidance وَمَوْعِظَةٌۭ wamawʿiẓatun and admonition لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ lil'muttaqīna for the God-fearing
Transliteration
Hatha bayanun linnasiwahudan wamawAAithatun lilmuttaqeen

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
ثم قال : ( هذا بيان للناس ) يعني القرآن فيه بيان للأمور على جليتها ، وكيف كان الأمم الأقدمون مع أعدائهم ( وهدى وموعظة ) يعني القرآن فيه خبر ما قبلكم و ) هدى ) لقلوبكم و ) موعظة ) أي : زاجر [ عن المحارم والمآثم ] .
