Quran 3:148
Surah Aal-i-Imraan, Verse 148

فَـَٔاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَحُسْنَ ثَوَابِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Word by word
فَـَٔاتَىٰهُمُ faātāhumu So gave them ٱللَّهُ l-lahu Allah ثَوَابَ thawāba reward ٱلدُّنْيَا l-dun'yā (in) the world وَحُسْنَ waḥus'na and good ثَوَابِ thawābi reward ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۗ l-ākhirati (in) the Hereafter وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu And Allah يُحِبُّ yuḥibbu loves ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ l-muḥ'sinīna the good-doers
Transliteration
Faatahumu Allahu thawabaaddunya wahusna thawabi al-akhiratiwallahu yuhibbu almuhsineen
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
So Allah gave them the reward of the world and the good reward of the Hereafter. Allah loveth those whose deeds are good.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
And Allah gave them a reward in this world, and the excellent reward of the Hereafter. For Allah Loveth those who do good.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
أي النصر والظفر والعاقبة "وحسن ثواب الآخرة" أي جمع لهم ذلك مع هذا "والله يحب المحسنين".
