Quran 3:184

Surah Aal-i-Imraan, Verse 184

فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ جَآءُو بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلزُّبُرِ وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُنِيرِ

Word by word

فَإِن fa-in Then if كَذَّبُوكَ kadhabūka they reject you فَقَدْ faqad then certainly كُذِّبَ kudhiba were rejected رُسُلٌۭ rusulun Messengers مِّن min from قَبْلِكَ qablika before you جَآءُو jāū (who) came بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ bil-bayināti with the clear Signs وَٱلزُّبُرِ wal-zuburi and the Scriptures وَٱلْكِتَـٰبِ wal-kitābi and the Book ٱلْمُنِيرِ l-munīri [the] Enlightening

Transliteration

Fa-in kaththabooka faqad kuththibarusulun min qablika jaoo bilbayyinati wazzuburiwalkitabi almuneer

And if they deny thee, even so did they deny messengers who were before thee, who came with miracles and with the Psalms and with the Scripture giving light.

Then if they reject thee, so were rejected messengers before thee, who came with Clear Signs, Books of dark prophecies, and the Book of Enlightenment.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ثم قال تعالى مسليا لنبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم : ( فإن كذبوك فقد كذب رسل من قبلك جاءوا بالبينات والزبر والكتاب المنير ) أي : لا يوهنك تكذيب هؤلاء لك ، فلك أسوة من قبلك من الرسل الذين كذبوا مع ما جاءوا به من البينات وهي الحجج والبراهين القاطعة ( والزبر ) وهي الكتب المتلقاة من السماء ، كالصحف المنزلة على المرسلين ( والكتاب المنير ) أي : البين الواضح الجلي .
