Quran 35:3

Surah Faatir, Verse 3

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ هَلْ مِنْ خَٰلِقٍ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

Word by word

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا yāayyuhā O ٱلنَّاسُ l-nāsu mankind ٱذْكُرُوا۟ udh'kurū Remember نِعْمَتَ niʿ'mata (the) Favor ٱللَّهِ l-lahi (of) Allah عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ ʿalaykum upon you هَلْ hal Is مِنْ min (there) any خَـٰلِقٍ khāliqin creator غَيْرُ ghayru other (than) Allah ٱللَّهِ l-lahi other (than) Allah يَرْزُقُكُم yarzuqukum who provides for you مِّنَ mina from ٱلسَّمَآءِ l-samāi the sky وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ wal-arḍi and the earth لَآ lā (There is) no إِلَـٰهَ ilāha god إِلَّا illā but هُوَ ۖ huwa He فَأَنَّىٰ fa-annā Then, how تُؤْفَكُونَ tu'fakūna (are) you deluded

Transliteration

Ya ayyuha annasuothkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum hal min khaliqinghayru Allahi yarzuqukum mina assama-i wal-ardila ilaha illa huwa faanna tu/fakoon

Translations

O mankind! Remember Allah's grace toward you! Is there any creator other than Allah who provideth for you from the sky and the earth? There is no Allah save Him. Whither then are ye turned?

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

O men! Call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! is there a creator, other than Allah, to give you sustenance from heaven or earth? There is no god but He: how then are ye deluded away from the Truth?

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ينبه تعالى عباده ويرشدهم إلى الاستدلال على توحيده في إفراد العبادة له ، كما أنه المستقل بالخلق والرزق فكذلك فليفرد بالعبادة ، ولا يشرك به غيره من الأصنام والأنداد والأوثان; ولهذا قال : ( لا إله إلا هو فأنى تؤفكون ) ، أي : فكيف تؤفكون بعد هذا البيان ، ووضوح هذا البرهان ، وأنتم بعد هذا تعبدون الأنداد والأوثان ؟
