Quran 38:57

Surah Saad, Verse 57

هَٰذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌ وَغَسَّاقٌ

Word by word

هَـٰذَا hādhā This (is so) فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ falyadhūqūhu Then let them taste it حَمِيمٌۭ ḥamīmun boiling fluid وَغَسَّاقٌۭ waghassāqun and purulence

Hatha falyathooqoohu hameemunwaghassaq

Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it,

Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!-

أما الحميم فهو : الحار الذي قد انتهى حره وأما الغساق فهو : ضده ، وهو البارد الذي لا يستطاع من شدة برده المؤلم ولهذا قال :
