Quran 39:25
Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 25

كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Word by word
كَذَّبَ kadhaba Denied ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who مِن min (were) before them قَبْلِهِمْ qablihim (were) before them فَأَتَىٰهُمُ fa-atāhumu so came upon them ٱلْعَذَابُ l-ʿadhābu the punishment مِنْ min from حَيْثُ ḥaythu where لَا lā not يَشْعُرُونَ yashʿurūna they perceive
Transliteration
Kaththaba allatheena minqablihim faatahumu alAAathabu min haythu layashAAuroon
Translations

Those before them denied, and so the doom came on them whence they knew not.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
Those before them (also) rejected (revelation), and so the Punishment came to them from directions they did not perceive.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
وقوله : ( كذب الذين من قبلهم فأتاهم العذاب من حيث لا يشعرون ) يعني : القرون الماضية المكذبة للرسل ، أهلكهم الله بذنوبهم ، وما كان لهم من الله من واق .
