Quran 39:61

Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 61

وَيُنَجِّى ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلسُّوٓءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

Word by word

وَيُنَجِّى wayunajjī And Allah will deliver ٱللَّهُ l-lahu And Allah will deliver ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who ٱتَّقَوْا۟ ittaqaw feared (Him) بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ bimafāzatihim to their place of salvation لَا lā not يَمَسُّهُمُ yamassuhumu will touch them ٱلسُّوٓءُ l-sūu the evil وَلَا walā and not هُمْ hum they يَحْزَنُونَ yaḥzanūna will grieve

Transliteration

Wayunajjee Allahu allatheenaittaqaw bimafazatihim la yamassuhumu assoo-owala hum yahzanoon

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

And Allah delivereth those who ward off (evil) because of their deserts. Evil toucheth them not, nor do they grieve.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

But Allah will deliver the righteous to their place of salvation: no evil shall touch them, nor shall they grieve.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

وقوله : ( وينجي الله الذين اتقوا بمفازتهم ) أي : مما سبق لهم من السعادة والفوز عند الله ، ( لا يمسهم السوء ) أي : يوم القيامة ، ( ولا هم يحزنون ) أي : ولا يحزنهم الفزع الأكبر ، بل هم آمنون من كل فزع ، مزحزحون عن كل شر ، مؤملون كل خير .
