Quran 40:75
Surah Al-Ghaafir, Verse 75

ذَٰلِكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ
Word by word
ذَٰلِكُم dhālikum That was بِمَا bimā because كُنتُمْ kuntum you used to تَفْرَحُونَ tafraḥūna rejoice فِى fī in ٱلْأَرْضِ l-arḍi the earth بِغَيْرِ bighayri without ٱلْحَقِّ l-ḥaqi right وَبِمَا wabimā and because كُنتُمْ kuntum you used to تَمْرَحُونَ tamraḥūna be insolent
Transliteration
Thalikum bima kuntum tafrahoonafee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi wabima kuntumtamrahoon
Translations

(And it is said unto them): This is because ye exulted in the earth without right, and because ye were petulant.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
"That was because ye were wont to rejoice on the earth in things other than the Truth, and that ye were wont to be insolent.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
وقوله : ( ذلكم بما كنتم تفرحون في الأرض بغير الحق وبما كنتم تمرحون ) أي : تقول لهم الملائكة : هذا الذي أنتم فيه جزاء على فرحكم في الدنيا بغير الحق ، ومرحكم وأشركم وبطركم ،
