Quran 43:12

Surah Az-Zukhruf, Verse 12

وَٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْفُلْكِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ

Word by word

وَٱلَّذِى wa-alladhī And the One Who خَلَقَ khalaqa created ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ l-azwāja the pairs كُلَّهَا kullahā all of them وَجَعَلَ wajaʿala and made لَكُم lakum for you مِّنَ mina [of] ٱلْفُلْكِ l-ful'ki the ships وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ wal-anʿāmi and the cattle مَا mā what تَرْكَبُونَ tarkabūna you ride

Transliteration

Wallathee khalaqa al-azwajakullaha wajaAAala lakum mina alfulki wal-anAAamima tarkaboon

Translations

He Who created all the pairs, and appointed for you ships and cattle whereupon ye ride.

That has created pairs in all things, and has made for you ships and cattle on which ye ride,

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ثم قال : ( والذي خلق الأزواج كلها ) أي : مما تنبت الأرض من سائر الأصناف ، من نبات وزروع وثمار وأزاهير ، وغير ذلك [ أي ] من الحيوانات على اختلاف أجناسها وأصنافها ، ( وجعل لكم من الفلك ) أي السفن ( والأنعام ما تركبون ) أي : ذللها لكم وسخرها ويسرها لأكلكم لحومها ، وشربكم ألبانها وركوبكم ظهورها ; ولهذا قال :
