Quran 43:84

Surah Az-Zukhruf, Verse 84

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَٰهٌ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَٰهٌ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Word by word

وَهُوَ wahuwa And He ٱلَّذِى alladhī (is) the One Who فِى fī (is) in ٱلسَّمَآءِ l-samāi the heaven إِلَـٰهٌۭ ilāhun God وَفِى wafī and in ٱلْأَرْضِ l-arḍi the earth إِلَـٰهٌۭ ۚ ilāhun God وَهُوَ wahuwa And He ٱلْحَكِيمُ l-ḥakīmu (is) the All-Wise ٱلْعَلِيمُ l-ʿalīmu the All-Knower

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee fee assama-iilahun wafee al-ardi ilahun wahuwa alhakeemualAAaleem

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

And He it is Who in the heaven is Allah, and in the earth Allah. He is the Wise, the Knower.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

It is He Who is Allah in heaven and Allah on earth; and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

وقوله : ( وهو الذي في السماء إله وفي الأرض إله ) أي : هو إله من في السماء ، وإله من في الأرض ، يعبده أهلهما ، وكلهم خاضعون له ، أذلاء بين يديه ، ( وهو الحكيم العليم )

وهذه الآية كقوله تعالى : ( وهو الله في السموات وفي الأرض يعلم سركم وجهركم ويعلم ما تكسبون ) [ الأنعام : 3 ] أي : هو المدعو الله في السموات والأرض .
