Quran 43:85

Surah Az-Zukhruf, Verse 85

وَتَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Word by word

وَتَبَارَكَ watabāraka And blessed (is) ٱلَّذِى alladhī the One Who لَهُۥ lahu to Whom مُلْكُ mul'ku (belongs the) dominion ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ l-samāwāti (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ wal-arḍi and the earth وَمَا wamā and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا baynahumā (is) between both of them وَعِندَهُۥ waʿindahu and with Him عِلْمُ ʿil'mu (is the) knowledge ٱلسَّاعَةِ l-sāʿati (of) the Hour وَإِلَيْهِ wa-ilayhi and to Him تُرْجَعُونَ tur'jaʿūna you will be returned

Transliteration

Watabaraka allathee lahu mulkuassamawati wal-ardi wamabaynahuma waAAindahu AAilmu assaAAatiwa-ilayhi turjaAAoon

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

And blessed be He unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and with Whom is knowledge of the Hour, and unto Whom ye will be returned.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

And blessed is He to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all between them: with Him is the Knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment): and to Him shall ye be brought back.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

( وتبارك الذي له ملك السموات والأرض وما بينهما ) أي : هو خالقهما ومالكهما والمتصرف فيهما ، بلا مدافعة ولا ممانعة ، فسبحانه وتعالى عن الولد ، وتبارك : أي استقر له السلامة من العيوب والنقائص ; لأنه الرب العلي العظيم ، المالك للأشياء ، الذي بيده أزمة الأمور نقضا وإبراما ، ( وعنده علم الساعة ) أي : لا يجليها لوقتها إلا هو ، ( وإليه ترجعون ) أي : فيجازي كلا بعمله ، إن خيرا فخير ، وإن شرا فشر .
