Surah Al-Waaqia, Verse 41

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ
Word by word
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ wa-aṣḥābu And (the) companions ٱلشِّمَالِ l-shimāli (of) the left مَآ mā what أَصْحَـٰبُ aṣḥābu (are the) companions ٱلشِّمَالِ l-shimāli (of) the left
Transliteration
Waas-habu ashshimalima as-habu ashshimal

لما ذكر تعالى حال أصحاب اليمين عطف عليهم بذكر أصحاب الشمال فقال "وأصحاب الشمال ما أصحاب الشمال" أي شيء هم فيه أصحاب الشمال؟.
