ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ
Word by word
ءَأَنتُمْ a-antum Is it you أَنشَأْتُمْ anshatum who produced شَجَرَتَهَآ shajaratahā its tree أَمْ am or نَحْنُ naḥnu We ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ l-munshiūna (are) the Producers
Transliteration
Aantum ansha/tum shajarataha am nahnualmunshi-oon

Was it ye who made the tree thereof to grow, or were We the grower?

Is it ye who grow the tree which feeds the fire, or do We grow it?
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
"أأنتم أنشأتم شجرتها أم نحن المنشئون" أي بل نحن الذين جعلناها مودعة في موضعها وللعرب شجرتان "إحداهما" المرخ "والأخـرى" العفار إذا أخذ منهما غصنان أخضران فحك أحدهما بالآخر تناثر من بينهما شرر النار.
