Quran 58:6

Surah Al-Mujaadila, Verse 6

يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوٓا۟ أَحْصَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ وَنَسُوهُ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ

Word by word

يَوْمَ yawma (On the) Day يَبْعَثُهُمُ yabʿathuhumu (when) Allah will raise them ٱللَّهُ l-lahu (when) Allah will raise them جَمِيعًۭا jamīʿan all فَيُنَبِّئُهُم fayunabbi-uhum and inform them بِمَا bimā of what عَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚ ʿamilū they did أَحْصَىٰهُ aḥṣāhu Allah has recorded it ٱللَّهُ l-lahu Allah has recorded it وَنَسُوهُ ۚ wanasūhu while they forgot it وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu And Allah عَلَىٰ ʿalā (is) over كُلِّ kulli all شَىْءٍۢ shayin things شَهِيدٌ shahīdun a Witness

Transliteration

Yawma yabAAathuhumu Allahu jameeAAanfayunabbi-ohum bima AAamiloo ahsahu Allahuwanasoohu wallahu AAala kulli shay-inshaheed

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

On the day when Allah will raise them all together and inform them of what they did. Allah hath kept account of it while they forgot it. And Allah is Witness over all things.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

On the Day that Allah will raise them all up (again) and show them the Truth (and meaning) of their conduct. Allah has reckoned its (value), though they may have forgotten it, for Allah is Witness to all things.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ثم قال : ( يوم يبعثهم الله جميعا ) وذلك يوم القيامة ، يجمع الله الأولين والآخرين في صعيد واحد ، ( فينبئهم بما عملوا ) أي : يخبرهم بالذي صنعوا من خير وشر ( أحصاه الله ونسوه ) أي : ضبطه الله وحفظه عليهم ، وهم قد نسوا ما كانوا عليه ، ( والله على كل شيء شهيد ) أي : لا يغيب عنه شيء ، ولا يخفى ولا ينسى شيئا .
