Quran 6:51

Surah Al-An'aam, Verse 51

وَأَنذِرْ بِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَن يُحْشَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ لَيْسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ وَلِىٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ

Word by word

وَأَنذِرْ wa-andhir And warn بِهِ bihi with it ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who يَخَافُونَ yakhāfūna fear أَن an that يُحْشَرُوٓا۟ yuḥ'sharū they will be gathered إِلَىٰ ilā to رَبِّهِمْ ۙ rabbihim their Lord لَيْسَ laysa not لَهُم lahum for them مِّن min of دُونِهِۦ dūnihi other than Him وَلِىٌّۭ waliyyun any protector وَلَا walā and not شَفِيعٌۭ shafīʿun any intercessor لَّعَلَّهُمْ laʿallahum so that they may يَتَّقُونَ yattaqūna (become) righteous

Transliteration

Waanthir bihi allatheena yakhafoonaan yuhsharoo ila rabbihim laysa lahum min doonihiwaliyyun wala shafeeAAun laAAallahum yattaqoon

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Warn hereby those who fear (because they know) that they will be gathered unto their Lord, for whom there is no protecting ally nor intercessor beside Him, that they may ward off (evil).

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

Give this warning to those in whose (hearts) is the fear that they will be brought (to judgment) before their Lord: except for Him they will have no protector nor intercessor: that they may guard (against evil).

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

( الذين يخافون أن يحشروا إلى ربهم ) أي : يوم القيامة . ( ليس لهم ) أي : يومئذ ( من دونه ولي ولا شفيع ) أي : لا قريب لهم ولا شفيع فيهم من عذابه إن أراده بهم ( لعلهم يتقون ) أي : أنذر هذا اليوم الذي لا حاكم فيه إلا الله ، عز وجل ( لعلهم يتقون ) فيعملون في هذه الدار عملا ينجيهم الله به يوم القيامة من عذابه ، ويضاعف لهم به الجزيل من ثوابه .
