Quran 64:3

Surah At-Taghaabun, Verse 3

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Word by word

خَلَقَ khalaqa He created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ l-samāwāti the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ wal-arḍa and the earth بِٱلْحَقِّ bil-ḥaqi with truth وَصَوَّرَكُمْ waṣawwarakum and He formed you فَأَحْسَنَ fa-aḥsana and made good صُوَرَكُمْ ۖ ṣuwarakum your forms وَإِلَيْهِ wa-ilayhi and to Him ٱلْمَصِيرُ l-maṣīru (is) the final return

Transliteration

Khalaqa assamawati wal-ardabilhaqqi wasawwarakum faahsana suwarakumwa-ilayhi almaseer

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He shaped you and made good your shapes, and unto Him is the journeying.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

He has created the heavens and the earth in just proportions, and has given you shape, and made your shapes beautiful: and to Him is the final Goal.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ثم قال : ( خلق السماوات والأرض بالحق ) أي : بالعدل والحكمة ، ( وصوركم فأحسن صوركم ) أي : أحسن أشكالكم ، كقوله تعالى : ( يا أيها الإنسان ما غرك بربك الكريم الذي خلقك فسواك فعدلك في أي صورة ما شاء ركبك ) [ الانفطار : 6 - 8 ] وكقوله : ( الله الذي جعل لكم الأرض قرارا والسماء بناء وصوركم فأحسن صوركم ورزقكم من الطيبات ) الآية [ غافر : 64 ] وقوله : ( وإليه المصير ) أي : المرجع والمآب .
