Quran 7:35

Surah Al-A'raaf, Verse 35

يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ إِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِى فَمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

Word by word

يَـٰبَنِىٓ yābanī O Children ءَادَمَ ādama (of) Adam إِمَّا immā If يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ yatiyannakum come to you رُسُلٌۭ rusulun Messengers مِّنكُمْ minkum from you يَقُصُّونَ yaquṣṣūna relating عَلَيْكُمْ ʿalaykum to you ءَايَـٰتِى ۙ āyātī My Verses فَمَنِ famani then whoever ٱتَّقَىٰ ittaqā fears Allah وَأَصْلَحَ wa-aṣlaḥa and reforms فَلَا falā then no خَوْفٌ khawfun fear عَلَيْهِمْ ʿalayhim on them وَلَا walā and not هُمْ hum they يَحْزَنُونَ yaḥzanūna will grieve

Transliteration

Ya banee adama immaya/tiyannakum rusulun minkum yaqussoona AAalaykum ayateefamani ittaqa waaslaha fala khawfunAAalayhim wala hum yahzanoon

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

O Children of Adam! When messengers of your own come unto you who narrate unto you My revelations, then whosoever refraineth from evil and amendeth - there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

O ye Children of Adam! whenever there come to you messengers from amongst you, rehearsing My signs unto you,- those who are righteous and mend (their lives),- on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ثم أنذر تعالى بني آدم بأنه سيبعث إليهم رسلا يقصون عليهم آياته ، وبشر وحذر فقال : ( فمن اتقى وأصلح ) أي : ترك المحرمات وفعل الطاعات ( فلا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون)
