Quran 9:89

Surah At-Tawba, Verse 89

أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

Word by word

أَعَدَّ aʿadda Allah has prepared ٱللَّهُ l-lahu Allah has prepared لَهُمْ lahum for them جَنَّـٰتٍۢ jannātin Gardens تَجْرِى tajrī flows مِن min from تَحْتِهَا taḥtihā underneath it ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ l-anhāru the rivers خَـٰلِدِينَ khālidīna (will) abide forever فِيهَا ۚ fīhā in it ذَٰلِكَ dhālika That ٱلْفَوْزُ l-fawzu (is) the success ٱلْعَظِيمُ l-ʿaẓīmu the great

Transliteration

aAAadda Allahu lahum jannatintajree min tahtiha al-anharu khalideenafeeha thalika alfawzu alAAatheem

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Allah hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide. That is the supreme triumph.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

Allah hath prepared for them gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein: that is the supreme felicity.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

لما ذكر تعالى ذنب المنافقين وبين ثناءه على المؤمنين وما لهم في آخرتهم فقال " لكن الرسول والذين آمنوا معه جاهدوا " إلى آخر الآيتين من بيان حالهم ومآلهم وقال " وأولئك لهم الخيرات " أي في الدار الآخرة في جنات الفردوس والدرجات العلى.
