إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

إِلَّا illā Except ٱبْتِغَآءَ ib'tighāa seeking وَجْهِ wajhi (the) Countenance رَبِّهِ rabbihi (of) his Lord ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ l-aʿlā the Most High
Transliteration
Illa ibtighaa wajhi rabbihial-aAAla
Translations

Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High.

But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High;
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
"ابتغاء وجه ربه الأعلى" أي طمعا في أن يحصل له رؤيته في الدار الآخرة في روضات الجنات.
