Quran 10:75

Surah Yunus, Verse 75

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ

Word by word

ثُمَّ thumma Then بَعَثْنَا baʿathnā We sent مِنۢ min after them بَعْدِهِم baʿdihim after them مُّوسَىٰ mūsā Musa وَهَـٰرُونَ wahārūna and Harun إِلَىٰ ilā to فِرْعَوْنَ fir'ʿawna Firaun وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ wamala-ihi and his chiefs بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا biāyātinā with Our Signs فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ fa-is'takbarū but they were arrogant وَكَانُوا۟ wakānū and were قَوْمًۭا qawman a people مُّجْرِمِينَ muj'rimīna criminal

Transliteration

Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosawaharoona ila firAAawna wamala-ihi bi-ayatinafastakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeen

Then, after them, We sent Moses and Aaron unto Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our revelations, but they were arrogant and were a guilty folk.

Then after them sent We Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our Signs. But they were arrogant: they were a people in sin.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

يقول تعالى : ( ثم بعثنا ) من بعد تلك الرسل ( موسى وهارون إلى فرعون وملئه ) أي : قومه . ( بآياتنا ) أي : حججنا وبراهيننا ، ( فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما مجرمين ) أي : استكبروا عن اتباع الحق والانقياد له
