لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ سُنَّةُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Word by word
لَا lā Not يُؤْمِنُونَ yu'minūna they believe بِهِۦ ۖ bihi in it وَقَدْ waqad and verily خَلَتْ khalat have passed سُنَّةُ sunnatu the way(s) ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ l-awalīna (of) the former (people)
Transliteration
La yu/minoona bihi waqad khalatsunnatu al-awwaleen
Translations

They believe not therein, though the example of the men of old hath gone before.

That they should not believe in the (Message); but the ways of the ancients have passed away.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
وقوله : ( وقد خلت سنة الأولين ) أي : قد علم ما فعل تعالى بمن كذب رسله من الهلاك والدمار ، وكيف أنجى الله الأنبياء وأتباعهم في الدنيا والآخرة .
