Quran 15:14
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 14

وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ
Word by word
وَلَوْ walaw And (even) if فَتَحْنَا fataḥnā We opened عَلَيْهِم ʿalayhim to them بَابًۭا bāban a gate مِّنَ mina from ٱلسَّمَآءِ l-samāi the heaven فَظَلُّوا۟ faẓallū and they were to continue فِيهِ fīhi therein يَعْرُجُونَ yaʿrujūna (to) ascend
Transliteration
Walaw fatahna AAalayhim babanmina assama-i fathalloo feehiyaAArujoon
Translations

And even if We opened unto them a gate of heaven and they kept mounting through it,

Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein,

يخبر تعالى عن قوة كفرهم وعنادهم ومكابرتهم للحق أنه لو فتح لهم بابا من السماء ، فجعلوا يصعدون فيه ، لما صدقوا بذلك
