Surah An-Nahl, Verse 50

يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ
Word by word
يَخَافُونَ yakhāfūna They fear رَبَّهُم rabbahum their Lord مِّن min above them فَوْقِهِمْ fawqihim above them وَيَفْعَلُونَ wayafʿalūna and they do مَا mā what يُؤْمَرُونَ ۩ yu'marūna they are commanded
Transliteration
Yakhafoona rabbahum min fawqihimwayafAAaloona ma yu/maroon
Translations

They fear their Lord above them, and do what they are bidden.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
They all revere their Lord, high above them, and they do all that they are commanded.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
( يخافون ربهم من فوقهم ) أي : يسجدون خائفين وجلين من الرب جل جلاله ، ( ويفعلون ما يؤمرون ) أي : مثابرين على طاعته تعالى ، وامتثال أوامره ، وترك زواجره .
