Surah Maryam, Verse 41

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا
Word by word
وَٱذْكُرْ wa-udh'kur And mention فِى fī in ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ l-kitābi the Book إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚ ib'rāhīma Ibrahim إِنَّهُۥ innahu Indeed, he كَانَ kāna was صِدِّيقًۭا ṣiddīqan a man of truth نَّبِيًّا nabiyyan a Prophet
Transliteration
Wathkur fee alkitabiibraheema innahu kana siddeeqan nabiyya
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
And make mention (O Muhammad) in the Scripture of Abraham. Lo! he was a saint, a prophet.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
(Also mention in the Book (the story of) Abraham: He was a man of Truth, a prophet.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
يقول تعالى لنبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم : واذكر في الكتاب إبراهيم واتله على قومك هؤلاء الذين يعبدون الأصنام ، واذكر لهم ما كان من خبر إبراهيم خليل الرحمن الذين هم من ذريته ، ويدعون أنهم على ملته ، وهو كان صديقا نبيا - مع أبيه -
