Surah Al-Anbiyaa, Verse 49

ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ
Word by word
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna Those who يَخْشَوْنَ yakhshawna fear رَبَّهُم rabbahum their Lord بِٱلْغَيْبِ bil-ghaybi in the unseen وَهُم wahum and they مِّنَ mina of ٱلسَّاعَةِ l-sāʿati the Hour مُشْفِقُونَ mush'fiqūna (are) afraid
Transliteration
Allatheena yakhshawna rabbahum bilghaybiwahum mina assaAAati mushfiqoon
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (of doom).
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
Those who fear their Lord in their most secret thoughts, and who hold the Hour (of Judgment) in awe.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
ثم وصفهم فقال : ( الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب ) كقوله ( من خشي الرحمن بالغيب وجاء بقلب منيب ) [ ق : 33 ] ، وقوله : ( إن الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب لهم مغفرة وأجر كبير ) [ الملك : 12 ] ، ( وهم من الساعة مشفقون ) أي : خائفون وجلون .
