Surah Al-Anbiyaa, Verse 59

قَالُوا۟ مَن فَعَلَ هَٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
Word by word
قَالُوا۟ qālū They said مَن man Who فَعَلَ faʿala (has) done هَـٰذَا hādhā this بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ biālihatinā to our gods إِنَّهُۥ innahu Indeed, he لَمِنَ lamina (is) of ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ l-ẓālimīna the wrongdoers
Transliteration
Qaloo man faAAala hatha bi-alihatinainnahu lamina aththalimeen
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
They said: Who hath done this to our gods? Surely it must be some evil-doer.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
They said, "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!"
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
( قالوا من فعل هذا بآلهتنا إنه لمن الظالمين ) أي : حين رجعوا وشاهدوا ما فعله الخليل بأصنامهم من الإهانة والإذلال الدال على عدم إلهيتها ، وعلى سخافة عقول عابديها ( قالوا من فعل هذا بآلهتنا إنه لمن الظالمين ) أي : في صنيعه هذا .
