Surah Al-Muminoon, Verse 82

قَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
Word by word
قَالُوٓا۟ qālū They said أَءِذَا a-idhā What! When مِتْنَا mit'nā we are dead وَكُنَّا wakunnā and become تُرَابًۭا turāban dust وَعِظَـٰمًا waʿiẓāman and bones أَءِنَّا a-innā would we لَمَبْعُوثُونَ lamabʿūthūna surely be resurrected
Transliteration
Qaloo a-itha mitnawakunna turaban waAAithamana-inna lamabAAoothoon
Translations

They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again?
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again?
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
(قالوا أئذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما أئنا لمبعوثون ) يعني يستبعدون وقوع ذلك بعد صيرورتهم إلى البلى ،
